The great protector

ATD 13The Word

“Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection.” Proverbs 30:5

 Thought

What a wonder it would be if each promise and statement made by those in positions of authority originated solely from incentives of truth. Mistakes and unplanned alternatives resulting from unexpected or unavoidable challenges are forgivable when truth and integrity remain intact. However, unfounded fabrications, hollow promises without intentions to keep them,  dark and hidden motivations, and abuses of authority are wrong.

Every word of God proves true, regardless of how difficult they may appear or, for some, how impossible to believe. I have heard it said, “No one speaks complete truth!” Yes there is one that does. God’s words stand without waiver of purity and promise, without flaw, and without failure. In the end, every word of God will prove true. He is the immovable anchor. Wise is the individual and nation who hears and obeys the true words of God.

George Washington wrote, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.” We find ourselves lost, hopeless, and adrift without God and His Word whether an individual or an entire nation.

Prayer

Without the truth of Your Word Lord I am without hope. By Your grace I embrace Your Word and I declare in prayer this day each and every word from You is accurate and true. Guide me today by Your word. Amen.

“Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will.” Isaiah 50:4
