Always right

ATD 153The Word

“O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right” Psalm 31:1

Thought

The King James Version of the Bible reads, “…deliver me in Thy righteousness.” We as Christians embrace the validity and complete accuracy of the Bible as God’s flawless and holy Word. His word reveals to us God alone is wholly righteous and we might know and experience righteousness in our lives through the redemptive completed work of Christ, God’s one and only Son, our Savior and Lord. The New Living Translation says of God’s righteousness, “…You do what is right.” Indeed, God will always do what is right.

Many will agree genuine trust in most anyone or anything is in short supply these days, but there is great hope when we place our trust in the God who has extended to us the offer of a lifetime. The only one in existence with flawless character desires to care for and lead us with his infallible plan for our lives. Many today attempt to cope with growing stress in their lives. Some because of things for which they have no control and others because of poor decisions or choices. The only sure source and solution to whatever level of dilemma one faces is God. Placing our trust in him not only assures us he will do the perfect and right thing in a situation, but genuine trust in allowing him to lead and care for us will result in peace of heart.

Prayer

I can find rest and peace in knowing you always do what is right. In those weak moments, remind me that you, heavenly Father, do only what is right, always. Amen.
