“But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23, 24
We were made to worship God. We complete our journey for our ultimate purpose when we discover this truth and begin the unending adventure of exploring the unreachable depths of worshiping God. God is unlimited, exceeds the human senses, created the material and tangible from things nonexistent, and is the source of all things mysterious and unexplainable.
Since He is unfathomable in depth and breadth and quickly leaves the finite exhausted in all terms by which we attempt to define measurement of something; how can the worship of this One and only God in all his characteristics and person ever be reached? It cannot, which is one reason the Christian has the divine honor, opportunity, and invitation of embarking on the journey of worshiping God forever!
I bow before you this morning and exalt your name. Father you look for those who will worship in spirit and in truth. I hunger and thirst for your presence, to worship you in spirit and truth. Amen.
