A secured future

ATD 175The Word

“But I am trusting You, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in Your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.” Psalm 31:14, 15

Thought

Believers in Christ have an enemy in constant and relentless pursuit. To think otherwise is naïve and in denial of satan’s treachery. Our defense and deliverance are in God’s numerous and wonderful promises. One of these is in Psalm 23 where we read the Lord has prepared a table in the midst of our enemies. Absent is any point of entry for darkness to overcome us because God is present with His unyielding authority and supremacy.

The book of Hebrews contains another as we are encouraged to keep our gaze firmly locked on Jesus the perfector and finisher of our faith.

Christ encourages us to stand firmly and trust in His ability. He encourages us to not worry about anything and seek His kingdom first. The future of every believer in Christ is securely held in the hands of Almighty God.

Prayer

This day holds within it a strategic design for me by life’s only Divine architect. May I discern and follow you through it, heavenly Father, by the leading of your Holy Spirit for the cause of your only Son,  Jesus Christ. Amen.
