“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31,32
Selfishness and pride are the best words to provide summation for most arguments as well as anger, jealousy, gossip, over-controlling tendencies, insecurities, and a swarm of other similar life-draining characteristics.
Paul offers solutions to these harmful stings by saying, Get rid of them; away with them, toss them out, for they do not represent Christ or belong where Christ resides. Grace and goodness are now to manifest and dwell. Replace bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander with kindness toward one another and display compassion and spiritual sensitivity. Exhibit and live in the spirit of forgiveness, the spirit of Jesus. Since we freely received forgiveness, so we must freely give it.
Repeatedly your word reveals the path of freedom for the human spirit is discovered in the power of forgiveness. May you give power and grace to walk rightly in this, for this is your will, and this is your provision for the Christ-life. Amen.
