God is forever glorious

atd-256The Word

“All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.” Galatians 1:5

The word glory is used in reference to many things. For example, the American flag is referred to as Old Glory, and one’s younger years are sometimes called the glory days.  Were it within my power, I would declare the word glory as sacred and reserved for one purpose: to reference God the Father in his divine, singular uniqueness.

He alone is self-existent, in need of nothing, no other person, no other thing. He existed in forever past and will into forever future. Only he creates something from nothing. Only he is the source of eternal light, pure love, pure hope, and everlasting life. There is no other like him.

Yahweh, the only God, is worthy of all honor. He alone has the reputation of genuine and perfect character, perfect holiness. He is the Lord of all glory; worthy of all glory.

Your name is exalted; your name is praised and worshiped. Your name, O Lord, is glorified forever and forever. Amen.
