“Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.” 1 Chronicles 16:29
God is the creator of all things; he decides the earth’s changes and its eventual conclusion. He is in need of nothing. He is self-contained and self-sustained, so what impressive gift might we offer him? Ourselves!
Our ability of choice is the one thing he set into the motion of life which becomes our best offering. He made man for the purpose of worship. He does not make us worship him, instead he gifts us with choice. Though mind-numbing to consider, there are those who actually refuse his salvation and destiny. Still though, he has allowed us to decide how we will live and who we will serve.
Through Christ we choose to offer ourselves to worship the one God of all glory. We choose repentance and his merciful gift of grace. We choose to love him with all our being and serve him in any capacity of his choice.
I worship you, Lord, God of all majesty. You are forever the all-powerful God, the one to whom is worthy of all glory and worship. Amen.
“For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen”
