“You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.” Nehemiah 9:6
He is worthy of worship, for only he imagined light, then effortlessly introduced it by the sound of his lips. Again he spoke, released new elements, components, forms, color, and scents. Once more his voice appeared and fashioned near countless varieties of life forms, big and small, each with remarkable beauty, and complexity of design.
He is worthy of worship, as only he could envision, form, and breathe life into ones likened to his image; mankind. In these God embedded emotions, senses, reason, contemplation, development, and yes, even choice, the element of mankind’s eventual spiritual demise.
God alone is worthy of worship, for in the separation and fall of humanity, his supreme design, provision was made, reconciliation ensued, and eternal destruction circumvented.
You alone are Lord. You are God, Yahweh, the only God, and worthy of all worship. Amen.
“Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.”
