As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence. He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal—it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed. (Daniel 7:13, 14)
The Ancient One, also called the Ancient of days, is the title for God mentioned only three times in the Bible; each time was in Daniel’s vision. In his vision, God the Father gives God the Son dominion over all the earth for the ultimate purposes of God’s fulfillment, which is for his honor and glory, and he is to be worshiped forever.
All things created, great and small, will one day cease. God though, will forever rule and reign, and the redeemed of the Lord will abide with him to worship him forever. Amen.
The slightest glimpse into the future of worship before your throne and in your presence, is overwhelming and indescribable. Yet, expectation and anticipation, all but fill my heart in this brief glimpse. Amen.
“Our Father in heaven may your name be kept holy.”
