Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (Philippians 2:12, 13)
We do not work to gain salvation or favor with God. But, when we genuinely enter into the mysterious, wonderful relationship with Christ as the result of his redeeming grace, an awakening occurs. Gratitude and dedication for his causes fill our hearts. Other ambitions and self-designed plans dissipate in the awe of living a life of divine orchestration.
Life miraculously transitions from temporal pursuits to purposes embedded with eternal qualities and benefits. God guides our life experience and empowers us with his unlimited abilities to fulfill his will with excellence and his desired result. Life explodes in us with eternal promises and the joy of serving his purposes on earth. We are granted the privilege and honor to declare and live the qualities of God’s kingdom, to behold his influence increase until the culmination of the ages.
God, who imagined and spoke into existence everything that exists, is working in the life of the Christian!
I am humbled by the sheer impact and power of this passage. May your Holy Spirit lead and empower each moment of life. Fill it with the display of your salvation as you work in me. Thank you for the desire and your divine power to do what pleases you. It is my purpose and joy in life. Amen.
“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”
