The Father’s Gift

The Word

Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love. (2 John 3)

Beauty would be non-existent were it not for Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the only Son of God. He transformed the gray and lifeless tones and introduced brilliant color, depth, and movement to life.  Love, joy, and hope would remain unrealized expectations of the human heart, and little more than loosely imagined concepts, but a gift from the Father changed it all.

Our Father in heaven in his incomprehensible, unfathomable love fashioned divine gifts of grace, mercy, and peace. Through Christ he showered them on all who would receive. The Father’s redemptive plan made provision for mere humanity to be woven into his divine fabric and forever have shelter within his holy household.

You give gifts of grace, mercy, and peace. You gave the gift of Christ and eternal life. You give life, love, all things good and righteous. You are our heavenly Father, always present, always good, always holy. Amen.

“Our Father in heaven,  may your name be kept holy.”
