Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God! (Psalm 43:3,4)
The goal of God’s light and truth is to provide visibility to the place fashioned for our heart, the presence of God. In God’s presence, in communion with him, we discover and experience real life as he intended.
Sadly, some choose other paths, to other places, and miss the pinnacle of joy for the heart. Within each is a spiritual homing mechanism; urging, calling, and tugging toward the place of freedom, the place of rest, the presence of God!
Through the redemptive work of Christ we can abide in God’s presence, the place the Father always intended and always desired for us to abide.
Lead me into your presence by the divine beacon of your Holy Spirit. There awaits the joy of my heart and soul. Amen.
