See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)
Some years ago we began a ministry to assist what our culture has labeled, “children-at-risk.” Whether children in our western culture or ones living in third world locations, they most all share a common need, the influence of good fathering. Many within the professional fields of child development agree father absenteeism and poor fatherly role models are two major contributors to problematic child development.
Believers in Christ are blessed to receive the ultimate in the fathering experience. God is their father, and he is the Father of all life. He is love’s ultimate source, his provision and guidance, in and through life, is second to none. His counsel is perfect, his choices are perfect, and his wisdom is perfect. His motives are never in question as he always desires what is right, what is pure, and what is best for everyone under his care.
The good, present, genuine love and care of godly fathers would provide the opportunity, substance, and formula to produce strong, wholesome, healthy, emotionally balanced children. Children, in Christ, with God as the Father who loves them, could alter the course of cultures gone awry.
I worship you, our Father in heaven. Amen.
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.”
