Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. (Luke 12:31)
God did not promise to care for those belonging to him and then conceal the need in some deep, unreachable chasm. His character is not to place needed provision for those dedicated to him out of reach unless some difficult riddle or formula he has created is properly answered.
His kingdom’s principles are not like the worlds. Assess the need to see if it is aligned with the desires of his will? Have we caused our own predicament of insufficient need? The Father is full of love, mercy, and grace, and freely dispenses it. Accompanying his graciousness is his desire, motivated by his incalculable love, to teach us the ways of his kingdom, so we are under his divine tutelage as he provides the need.
Perhaps his provision is already before us, but not to our standard of liking. I observed a chickadee, a small bird, feasting from a feeder filled with a variety of seed. The bird was tossing seed on the ground as there seemed a particular seed type the bird was seeking.
Be assured, God will supply all needed to fulfill his will for our lives.
You are a gracious, Father. You are God of the possible. Give us each day the food we need. Amen.
