There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior. (Isaiah 43:10, 11)
These words in Isaiah given to describe God’s indisputable and absolute superiority are accurate, unequivocal, and emphatic. This statement, while potentially abrasive to the doubting heart, is instead one of deep hope and abiding security for the child of God. Genuine truth is never pretentious, as purity and holiness is void of arrogance and ill motive.
The heart wisely journeying beyond self is a heart in search for truth to solace the soul. At times along the way, for those on this pilgrimage, scenes appear and initially appease the eye with the necessary provision to suffice the heart’s design. All outside of God, though, will prove an illusion when tested, for only Jehovah is the source producing the needed genuine life for humanity’s soul.
One God, eternal, all knowing, all seeing, and immutable, is our heavenly Father. Glory to your name. You are God from eternity past to eternity future. The heavens and earth declare your majesty and the heart redeemed gratefully declares you as Savior and Lord. Amen.
“Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.”
