The Virtuous Path

The Word

The path of the virtuous leads away from evil; whoever follows that path is safe. (Proverbs 16:17)

The path called safe, distances us from evil’s snare, and is clearly marked with life signs confirming the way. One marker is the sign reading goodness, for the path of God, indeed, is good and those who walk upon upon it seek this kingdom quality. Another bears the word righteous, as the persons on this path must be. Others are donned with the titles honorintegritymorality, and honesty.

There is no mistaking this for any other than the path of light, the path of Christ. The folk upon this path treasure mercy, grace, and love. They know their highest privilege, their dearest pleasure, is to worship the high and Holy One.

At trail’s end, the trophy awaiting these faithful sojourners is one of deep virtue, the warm inclusive greeting, from the one Almighty God, “Well done.”

Lead me in your paths. Lead me in your truth. Yes, lead me on your safe path that I might bestow the honor due your name, Mighty One. Amen.

“And don’t let us yield to temptation”

  1. Somewhere along the way preaching glorifying God was left out of the Gospel. Believe to be saved but thats where our it stopped. Why did God save us? To glorofy him forever.
