God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. (Psalm 68:6)
Loneliness is a formidable foe, initially lying subtle and elusive, so as not to disclose its dark and hostile roots penetrating ones emotional heart chambers. Methodical, persistent, and stealth, it fades once bright hues, to dull, colorless feelings of absence and insignificance, slowly smothering the very breath of hope from the human soul.
Our Creator implanted us with emotions, and calibrated us to function our best and healthiest, living in community, as he defines. God himself exists in community as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This deep, holy, communion existed from timeless past to endless future.
God, knowing and desiring community for and with us, made provision, conceived family, biological and spiritual.
Reconciliation is beautifully multilayered and dimensional. For embracing Christ as Savior and Lord, provides forgiveness, eternal hope, and ushers us into an unparalleled friendship, friendship with God. He escorts us from loneliness, through a threshold into a community unlike any other, the family of God.
Thank you Lord, for the provision of family, your family, the family of God. Amen.
