He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. (Psalm 23:3)
Modern technology has presented us with near flawless precision as related to geographical directions to desired locations. Still, its accuracy is not completely flawless. For instance, a recent GPS guided journey to a new restaurant location led me instead to an open field a couple of miles from the actual restaurant.
While close to accurate and near flawless guidance is appreciated, flawless guidance is certainly preferred. Precision is not only desired in most of the things we do, and expect, as humans, but precision is vital for the success of those things.
The precision and accuracy of things developed by human mind and hand, while impressive, fall short of the accuracy and precision of God’s creation and ability. He desires to lead and guide his children through their earth journey, on the right paths and with the divine precision of his Holy Spirit.
You guide me with your care and skill, on right paths, your paths. Guide me by your Holy Spirit and lead me as this brings honor to your name. Amen.
