Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. (Colossians 3:23.24)
Some spend far too much of their Christian lives waiting for some grandiose idea, plan, or expectation to unfold as God’s will instead of following the simple instructive words from the Apostle Paul above. He tells us to be content and cultivate the message of God’s kingdom when and where we are at the moment. If we are sincerely given to him as his servants, trusting him for leadership, we should understand God is always working in and through us, we are always somewhere in the process of his will, and he is our inheritance.
I ask you to guide my steps today Holy Spirit knowing you will unfold the will of the Father before me. Amen.
“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”
